GRADUATION & EMPLOYMENT STATISTICS
MediaTech Institute is required by the U.S. Department of Education and our accrediting body, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), to regularly report on the job-placement rates of our graduates. The process by which this data is collected and then reported is regulated by guidelines put in place by both the Department of Education and the ACCSC and is consistent among all schools who report these rates.
Graduation rates are defined as the percentage of students who graduate from the degree or diploma program within 150% of the program’s defined length. Per ACCSC standards, students who are in the following statuses are not included in a program’s graduation rate: death, incarceration, active military service deployment, or the onset of a medical condition that prevents continued enrollment.
Graduates Employed in Field means that a graduate is currently working in the field of study of their degree or diploma program. Graduates who have unpaid employment related to their specific education (internships, etc.), graduates who have employment that is unrelated to their specific education, graduates who are unemployed, or graduates who could not be contacted are not considered “employed in field.” Graduates who returned to school or joined the military, international students who returned to their home country, graduates who are incarcerated, deceased, or have medical conditions that keep them from working are not considered “available for employment.”
